Polish police conduct successful rescue drills in Rybnik and Bydgoszcz

In Rybnik, police, fire and rescue services carried out a command‑staff exercise called “Poszukiwania 2026”. The scenario simulated a missing 6‑year‑old child and mother who fled into a forest. After more than three hours of coordinated searching using radios, phones and specialist apps, the pair were located unharmed and taken to hospital. The teams also provided first aid to an unconscious woman and a sky‑diver who fell during the drill.

In Bydgoszcz, officers from the water unit of the city police responded to a call about a man in emotional crisis who fell into the Brda River. The officers quickly pulled him aboard a patrol boat, administered medical aid for his injuries and offered psychological support until emergency medical personnel arrived, preventing a likely tragedy.
