Polish Police Day celebrations honor officers in Piła and Słupsk

On July 24, 2026, Poland marked Police Day with two official ceremonies at police schools in Piła and Słupsk. In Piła, Minister of the Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński addressed the crowd, highlighted an additional 3 billion złoty earmarked for the police through alternative mechanisms, and presented medals to officers nominated by union representatives. Local officials, including the regional police commander, the mayor of Piła and parliamentary representatives, also took part.

The Słupsk ceremony, attended by the First Deputy Chief of Police, President’s adviser Waldemar Szulc, and other senior officials, featured the awarding of gold, silver and bronze medals for long service and merit, as well as numerous promotions across all police ranks. Over 30 officers received new ranks or teaching assignments, and an orchestral performance concluded the event. Both gatherings served to recognize distinguished service and reinforce state support for the police force.
