Polish police dismantle synthetic drug lab in Józefowie
Police officers from the Otwock district, together with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBŚP), carried out a raid on a professional synthetic‑drug laboratory in the village of Józefowie, near Warsaw. The facility was equipped with a reactor, mixers, heaters, a ventilation system and protective suits, and was used to produce the stimulant mefedron. During the operation, investigators seized about 20 kg of finished mefedron, roughly 10 kg in a crystallisation stage, and dozens of litres of precursor chemicals, along with the specialized production equipment.
A 25‑year‑old Moldovan citizen, wanted under an Interpol red notice, was arrested at the site and charged with manufacturing and possessing large quantities of narcotics. He was placed in custody pending further legal proceedings.
