Polish police hold safety workshops for children at summer camps

Police officers in Bydgoszcz and Zgorzelec conducted safety education sessions for children attending half‑day summer camps. The talks covered safe recreation near water, mountain hiking precautions, the emergency number 112, and road safety for pedestrians, cyclists and e‑scooter users, emphasizing helmet use and reflective clothing. Demonstrations included a police patrol car, fingerprint‑making stations, and a presentation of the "Kręci mnie bezpieczeństwo w lecie" campaign, co‑sponsored by the Polish Water Rescue Service (WOPR) and insurer PZU SA. The events also promoted the "Letni przeWODNIK" art‑film contest and concluded with souvenirs and group photos.

These outreach activities aim to raise awareness among young holiday‑makers about practical safety measures and encourage responsible behaviour during the summer vacation period.
