Polish Police Host Regional Competition and Revise Training Programs
Police officers from the Warmian‑Masurian region gathered in Olsztyn for the provincial eliminations of the IX National "Police Officer of the Criminal Service" competition. Teams of four, representing city and county commands, were tested on investigative, operational, forensic and supervisory skills. The event was overseen by senior regional police leaders and the provincial governor, with winners set to represent the region at the national finals in Piła in October.
Separately, the Police Academy in Szczytno convened a working group appointed by the Chief of Police to review and propose changes to specialized training courses. Representatives from various police units examined the relevance and effectiveness of current curricula, aiming to improve the quality of professional development for officers across the country.
