Polish police host regional family picnics in Tuchola and Bydgoszcz
On 11 July 2026, the Tuchola municipal police organized a family picnic in the town’s Castle Park as part of the national Police Day celebrations. The programme featured a historic bike ride, a singing police officer, a comedy sketch, a police‑dog demonstration, a mini concert by Natalia Mathia‑Nosowicz & Michał Gierszewski, and informational stands on traffic safety, criminalistics, the new KPP Tuchola radio vehicle and other law‑enforcement equipment.
A week later, on 21 July 2026, the Provincial Police held a larger event in Park Chrobrego. The day began with a formal ceremony including award presentations, oath‑taking for newly appointed officers and a showcase of specialist units such as the counter‑terrorism detachment. Exhibits displayed police vehicles, convoy equipment, forensic tools and gear used by the State Fire Service, Border Guard and other agencies. Food stalls, inflatable attractions and a road‑safety learning area allowed the public to interact with officers and learn about recruitment and daily duties.
