Polish Police Officer Paweł Kozłowski Assists Birth at Gas Station

On 5 August 2026, around 14:45, police station chief asp. szt. Paweł Kozłowski was patrolling national road 15 near the village of Frydrychowo in the Kuyavian‑Pomeranian region of Poland. He stopped after a man signaled for help; the couple, traveling from Rypin to Toruń, had been forced to pull into a fuel station because the woman went into labor.

Kozłowski intervened, providing immediate assistance and safely delivering the baby. A medical rescue team arrived minutes later, transferred the mother and newborn to a hospital in Toruń, and confirmed that both were in good health. The Bydgoszcz police command praised the officer’s professionalism and quick response.
