Polish police officers receive promotions and service awards

Polish police officers were recently honored during ceremonies marking Police Day in the Łódź and Greater Poland regions.

In Szczytno, 26 officers from various municipal and county units in Łódź were promoted to their first officer rank. The ceremony was attended by the Chief Police Inspector, Marek Boroń, and the Provincial Police Commander in Łódź, Arkadiusz Sylwestrzak. These promotions recognize the experience and knowledge gained through years of service.

In Poznań, a separate ceremony was held to award decorations and prizes to officers from across the Greater Poland region. Among those honored were officers from the Gniezno County Police Command, including Mariusz Masłowski, Robert Recki, and Marcin Trzosek, who received Gold Medals for long-term service. Additionally, Maciej Bąkowski, head of the Economic Crime Department, was awarded the Silver ‘Meritorious Policeman’ badge.
