Polish police rescue two individuals in separate emergencies in Grzybno and Wisła

On the morning of 24 June, senior sergeant Maria Maraszkiewicz and officer Tomasz Dąbrowski of the Chojnice Police Station forced entry into a home in Grzybno after neighbours reported an unresponsive 67‑year‑old resident with multiple health problems. The officers found the man unconscious, breathing with difficulty in a hot, poorly ventilated room and provided immediate assistance until medical responders arrived. He was then taken to hospital for specialist care.

In a separate incident near the Olympic Street bridge in Wisła, a tourist witnessed a man struggling in the Vistula River and called 112. Police patrol units from the Wisła Police quickly reached the scene, entered the water, rescued the victim, and handed him over to medical personnel who transported him to hospital. The tourist later sent a letter of thanks praising the officers' professionalism and rapid response.
