Polish police search for suspects in separate teen murders

In Mszana Górna, a village near Limanowa in southern Poland, a 19‑year‑old woman was found dead on 15 June after an argument with her former boyfriend. Police have launched a large‑scale manhunt for the 19‑year‑old suspect, Kacper Wójtowicz, deploying hundreds of officers, canine units, drones and road checkpoints to locate him.

In Mława, central Poland, the body of 16‑year‑old Mai K. was discovered on 1 May in brush near railway tracks. Eighteen‑year‑old Bartosz G. has been charged with murder with particular cruelty. Psychiatric experts concluded he was fully aware of his actions. After being apprehended in Greece, he was extradited to Poland and is now held in custody pending further legal proceedings.
