Karol Nawrocki to open Jurata presidential residence to Polish youth

Polish President Karol Nawrocki has announced a new initiative to open the presidential residence in Jurata to the public, specifically targeting the younger generation. The two-day event, titled ‘Przyszłość.pl’, is scheduled for August 29–30, 2026, and is designed for citizens aged 18 to 26.

The program aims to foster dialogue between the state and youth through debates, lectures, and discussions on topics such as security, work, and Poland’s role in the world. The event will feature various activities, including sports competitions on the beach, self-defense classes led by First Lady Marta Nawrocka, and musical performances by artists such as Skolim, Kubańczyk, and WonerS, as well as a Chopin concert by the Lee brothers.

Nawrocki emphasized that as a state-funded facility, the residence should be utilized for more than just official diplomatic meetings and presidential rest. He intends for the complex to become a space for intellectuals, scientists, and social groups to discuss the country’s future. The announcement has drawn reactions from political figures, including Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski, who noted the competition between different youth-oriented political initiatives.
