Polish politician Przemysław Czarnek mocked as 'UFO‑brought lily' by rival

Confederation MP Przemysław Wipler criticised PiS’s nominee for prime minister, former education minister Przemysław Czarnek, saying he “tried to pretend to be a lily that was brought by a UFO.” Wipler accused Czarnek of hypocrisy, noting that the minister had previously voted for the national e‑invoicing system before later attacking the same project. He also rejected any support for Mateusz Morawiecki as a candidate for the premiership, calling Morawiecki “unacceptable” to his party’s electorate. The remarks were made on Polsat News during an interview about the split within Law and Justice over Czarnek’s candidacy.
