Polish politicians clash on TVN24 over Zbigniew Ziobro

During a live broadcast of the TVN24 program ‘Kropka nad i’, a heated exchange occurred between journalist Monika Olejnik and PiS MP Michał Wójcik regarding the legal status of former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro and former Deputy Minister Marcin Romanowski.

Wójcik clarified his political allegiances, stating that while Jarosław Kaczyński is his party leader and Zbigniew Ziobro is his political patron, Mateusz Morawiecki is not his boss. When questioned by Olejnik about members of his party being on the run, Wójcik defended Ziobro, calling him an excellent minister and the greatest since the late President Lech Kaczyński. This prompted Olejnik to tell Wójcik, “Do not insult the memory of Lech Kaczyński.”

Reports indicate that Marcin Romanowski is believed to be in Transnistria, a region controlled by pro-Russian separatists. Additionally, an extradition and temporary arrest request for Zbigniew Ziobro was sent to the United States in late July, involving charges related to the Justice Fund investigation.
