Polish poll shows 76% of respondents rate Zelenskyy negatively

A survey commissioned by Virtual Poland and carried out by United Surveys for IBRIS found that 75.8% of Polish respondents hold a negative view of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while only 16.9% expressed a positive opinion. Among the negative responses, 41.9% rated him "very badly" and 33.9% "rather badly". Positive ratings were limited to 7.3% "very well" and 15.4% "rather well".

The poll revealed sharp partisan differences. Supporters of the governing coalition were evenly split, with 45% giving a positive assessment and 45% a negative one. Among opposition voters, 94% evaluated Zelenskyy negatively, and 56% chose the most unfavorable option. The survey was conducted against a backdrop of recent tensions between Warsaw and Kyiv over the naming of a Ukrainian unit "Heroes of UPA" and the subsequent revocation and return of the Order of the White Eagle.

These results highlight a broadly critical attitude toward Zelenskyy in Poland, especially among opposition supporters, and may influence the political discourse surrounding Ukraine‑Poland relations.
