Polish power firms roll out tools to help households compare electricity tariffs

Tauron Dystrybucja has expanded its eLicznik app with a new feature that lets customers with remote‑read meters analyse their energy use, simulate costs under different tariffs and receive recommendations on cheaper options. The tool uses real‑time meter data and is part of the AMIPlus programme, which aims to replace all meters with smart devices by 2031 and is backed by a 333 million zł budget. Tauron serves about 6 million users across several Polish regions.

Energa has published detailed tariff tables for its residential and business tariffs (G11, G12, G12w, G12r) for 2025‑2026, showing annual fees, per‑kWh prices and the effect of photovoltaic generation on bills. The information is intended to help consumers understand the cost components of their electricity invoices and choose the most suitable tariff.

Both initiatives aim to increase transparency and enable Polish electricity customers to lower their bills by selecting the tariff that best matches their consumption patterns.
