Polish presidential chief Zbigniew Bogucki listed as ‘enemy of Ukraine’

Ukrainian non‑governmental organisation Myrotworeć added Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the Polish President’s Chancellery, to its public register of "enemies of Ukraine". The NGO cited his July 1 parliamentary remarks describing the 1940s massacres in Volhynia and the area historically called “Eastern Lesser Poland” as genocide, labeling the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) as criminal, and using the term “Małopolska Wschodnia”. Myrotworeć claimed his statements threatened Ukraine’s sovereignty, constituted “humanitarian aggression” and incited hatred toward Ukrainians.

Bogucki responded on the social platform X, asserting he is not an enemy of Ukraine but a foe of “banderyzm”, historical falsehoods and attempts to silence victims of Ukrainian nationalist violence. He reiterated support for Ukraine in its defence against Russian aggression, highlighted his role coordinating unprecedented aid for Ukrainian war‑refugees in western Poland, and pledged to continue naming UPA members as perpetrators of mass murder.

Myrotworeć’s list, which also contains Russian soldiers and has previously named other Polish politicians, is controversial because it publishes personal data and is not an official state body. Human‑rights groups have criticised the project for privacy violations.
