Polish primary schools hold ceremonies for first-grade students

Primary schools in the Rudnik and Przemęt municipalities held traditional ceremonies to welcome new first-grade students.

At the Władysław Kwieciński 'Lubicza' Primary School in Płonka, students participated in an oath-taking ceremony and were officially inducted as students on October 20. The event included an artistic performance and a symbolic test of courage involving drinking lemon juice. Local officials, including the Mayor of Rudnik, Paweł Kucharczyk, and school director Barbara Ochniowska-Łyś, attended the ceremony where students received school IDs and commemorative gifts.

Similarly, the Jan Paweł II Primary School in Mochy held its induction ceremony on October 19. Representing the Mayor of Przemęt, Marta Stadnik attended the event. During the tradition, students took an oath to commit to diligent study and respect for their teachers and peers, followed by a symbolic induction using a large pencil.
