Polish printing market shifts toward digital services and document management

The Polish printing and document management market is undergoing a significant transformation. As organizations increasingly adopt digitalization, hybrid work models, and electronic document circulation, the total volume of printed pages in Europe has decreased by 23 percent over the last four years.

According to Krzysztof Mertowski, Country Manager for Brother in Poland and Ukraine, the business segment is shifting its focus from hardware sales toward services and document management solutions. While consumer demand for laser printers saw growth in early 2026, the business sector experienced a decline in demand for both laser and inkjet devices.

Parallel to these market shifts, there is a growing emphasis on workflow optimization. Effective business process management (BPM) requires treating digital workflows as living organisms that must be regularly measured and adjusted. Key indicators for optimization include bottlenecks where documents spend excessive time waiting for approval or verification, which can hinder organizational efficiency.
