Polish Radio Gdańsk broadcasts live from Wilczy Szaniec and Jastarnia

Radio Gdańsk's summer series set up a mobile studio in the coastal town of Jastarnia, where presenters explored the town’s history and marked the 100th anniversary of its fishing port. Listeners were invited to join a scavenger hunt for hidden gold plaques, with prizes offered to participants who found them.

In a separate episode, the program visited the historic Wilczy Szaniec complex in the Warmian‑Masurian region, the former Nazi headquarters where Adolf Hitler stayed for over 800 days. Archaeologists from the Polish Academy of Sciences are excavating the Hermann Göring house on the site, uncovering six human skeletons, including children, and continuing their work through early August. The findings are part of an effort to understand the area's wartime history.
