Polish radio journalists nominated for major reportage awards

Several Polish radio journalists have been recognized in major national and international media competitions.

At the Niepokalana International Catholic Film and Multimedia Festival, journalists from Radio Gdańsk—Anna Rębas, Alicja Samolewicz-Jeglicka, and Andrzej Urbański—have been nominated in the radio reportage category. The festival, organized by the St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe Catholic Film Association, focuses on works inspired by Catholic Social Teaching and values such as beauty and assistance to the disabled.

In the III National Irena Linkiewicz Radio Reportage Competition, titled ‘Po prostu człowiek’, three reports from Polskie Radio PiK have reached the finals. The finalists include the audio documentary ‘Tu się nie płacze’ by Żaneta Walentyn and Michał Słobodzian, which explores the lives of musicians in concentration camps; ‘Tyle i aż tyle’ by Adriana Andrzejewska-Kuras, regarding parental access to intensive care; and ‘To nie moja ręka’ by Michał Zaręba, which examines the activities of a foundation leader facing legal allegations.
