Polish rally drivers secure top five finishes at Barum Rally
Polish rally drivers achieved strong results during the Barum Rally, a challenging round of the European Rally Championship (ERC) held in the Czech Republic.
Mikołaj Marczyk and co-driver Szymon Gospodarczyk finished in fourth place, narrowly missing the podium by just 1.3 seconds. This performance marks the best result in the history of the Orlen Team at the Barum Rally and allows the duo to maintain their position within the top three of the ERC season standings. Marczyk and Gospodarczyk notably won the iconic Trojak special stage on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Polish champion Jakub Matulka and co-driver Damian Syty secured fifth place in the general classification after the first stage of competition. Despite interruptions due to accidents on certain stages, the Orlen Lotto Rally Team maintained a competitive pace, including a third-place finish on the Bunc stage during the second loop.
