Slovenian referee Slavko Vinčić to lead 2026 World Cup final

FIFA announced the match‑officials for the 2026 World Cup final. The main referee will be Slavko Vinčić of Slovenia, assisted by fellow Slovenians Tomaz Klancnik and Andraz Kovacic. The fourth official is Jordanian Adham Makhadmeh with Mohammad Alkalaf as reserve assistant.

The final, featuring Spain and Argentina, will be played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on 19 July. The tournament is being staged across the United States, Canada and Mexico with an expanded 48‑team format.

Polish referee Szymon Marciniak, who officiated two group matches, was not selected for the semifinals or the final. With no further assignments, he is set to return to Poland after the tournament.
