Polish regional crisis teams coordinate summer safety and border security measures
The Łódź provincial crisis management team met at the Water Rescue Base near Jeziorsko, chaired by Voivode Dorota Ryl, to prepare the region for the summer season. Participants reviewed safety for children’s camps, water recreation, road traffic on major transit routes, and the upcoming 2026 helmet requirement for cyclists and e‑scooter users. They also discussed preparedness for storms, heavy rain and flooding.
In eastern Poland, the II Forum of Eastern Poland Security gathered defence officials, local mayors and border‑guard representatives in Wyryki to address safety in municipalities along the Belarus‑Ukraine border. The forum highlighted cooperation between local governments, the Border Guard, the army and emergency services, referencing a September 2025 airspace breach that damaged a house but caused no injuries. Attendees emphasized rapid response, information sharing and joint procedures for future border‑related incidents.
