Polish Rescue Drills in Obiszów Feature Military Support

Around 150 rescuers gathered in Obiszów, Poland, for a series of realistic emergency‑response exercises organized by Paweł Gębalski of the specialist rescue group “Strażacy Wspólnie Przeciw Białaczce”. Seven stations – five medical and two technical – were set up to simulate severe bleeding, complex injuries, vehicle extrications and psychological first aid.

For the first time in five years, the drills included Polish Army units: soldiers from the 23rd Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec and the 4th Engineering Battalion in Głogów provided heavy equipment and demonstrated military‑grade rescue techniques. The event aimed to improve first‑aid and technical rescue skills among volunteers and to allow participants to practice in safe, simulated conditions.
