Polish retailers launch verified marketplaces to meet consumer demand
Polish e-commerce is seeing a shift toward verified marketplaces as consumers prioritize transaction security and seller credibility over mere variety. Reports indicate that 87% of users of a major Polish service use marketplaces, while 79% of consumers conduct their last remembered purchase digitally.
In response to these trends, Orange Polska is launching its own marketplace to offer products from partners verified by the operator. Similarly, the fashion brand Sinsay, owned by LPP, is launching a closed marketplace model. Sinsay aims to expand its assortment to over 100,000 products by 2027 by including external partners who undergo a strict verification process to maintain quality and consistency. This expansion is intended to transform Sinsay into a comprehensive shopping platform for the whole family, leveraging its existing ecosystem of 8 million app users.
