Polish Riders Franciszek Szczyrba and Dawid Oscenda Win Gold and Silver at European Speedway Championship

The Individual European Speedway Championship in the 250cc class was held in Žarnovica, Slovakia on 2 August, featuring 18 riders from ten nations. Polish competitors dominated the event. Franciszek Szczyrba of ROW Rybnik won the gold medal, defending his title from the previous year, while teammate Dawid Oscenda secured silver after finishing just one point behind.

Both riders recorded perfect scores in their five heats, earning a total of 15 and 14 points respectively. The bronze medal was decided by a run‑off after Elias Jamil of Denmark and Marek Ziman of Slovakia tied on points; Jamil prevailed to claim third place. Other Polish riders also performed well, with Damian Bełtowski finishing fifth and Bartosz Byszewski seventh.
