Polish right-wing parties reach informal Senate election pact
Right-wing political groups in Poland have reportedly reached an informal non-aggression pact ahead of the Senate elections. The agreement involves Law and Justice (PiS), Konfederacja, Rozwój Plus, and Grzegorz Braun’s Konfederacja Korony Polskiej.
The arrangement is intended to prevent these parties from competing for the same voters and splitting the right-wing vote in Senate contests. To maintain political distinction, the pact will remain unofficial, without public signings or joint press conferences. While the groups will cooperate in the Senate, they intend to maintain separate identities and conduct independent campaigns for the Sejm.
President Karol Nawrocki is expected to provide patronage for the pact. Recent polling indicates significant shifts in the political landscape, with Konfederacja Korony Polskiej showing notable growth, reaching 10.9 percent support in a United Surveys by IBRiS poll.
