Polish researchers Julita Krassowska and Łukasz Olejnik receive Minister of Science scholarships

Dr. Julita Krassowska, an associate professor at the Faculty of Construction and Environmental Engineering of Białystok University of Technology, was named among 230 outstanding young scientists to receive the Minister of Science scholarship in 2026. Her work focuses on innovative reinforced concrete, fiber‑reinforced polymer composites and the development of high‑performance concrete products, leading to industrial implementations and a patent for polymer‑basalt fiber concrete.

Dr. Łukasz Olejnik, an associate professor at the Institute of Economic Development, SGH, also secured a three‑year scholarship in the same cohort. His research covers macroeconomics, fiscal policy and defense economics, complemented by experience at the National Bank of Poland, the Ministry of Finance and the Fiscal Council. Both scholars were selected based on criteria such as publication impact, international experience and leadership of research projects.

The scholarships, awarded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, aim to support promising Polish researchers for three years and underline the country’s commitment to advancing scientific and economic research.
