Lubartów hosts ‘Radość nie zna barier’ inclusive sport‑recreation ming

The 19th Powiatowy Mityng Sportowo‑Rekreacyjny “Radość nie zna barier” took place in Lubartów, organized by the Dom Pomocy Społecznej in Ostrowie Lubelskim together with the Stowarzyszenie “Nasz Dom”. The event gathered people with disabilities and their caregivers from Lubartów County and neighboring counties. Its main aims were social integration, promotion of physical activity and breaking of barriers.

The opening ceremony was led by Jerzy Piekarczyk, manager of the Social Affairs Department of the Lubartów County Office, with remarks from Joanna Dejko, director of the local residential care home. The programme featured adapted team and individual competitions, skill challenges and recreational games, emphasizing participation, mutual support and enjoyment over rivalry. All participants received diplomas, medals and souvenir gifts, highlighting the community spirit and the message that “joy knows no barriers”.
