Polish schools announce free astronomy outing and Tatra mountain trip for students
A free field trip for secondary‑school pupils will take place on 14 August 2026 at the Nature Education Center in Chalin, near Sieraków. Participants will travel from Trzcianka, Czarnków and Lubasz, and activities include meteor watching, astronomy workshops, competitions, lectures and an open‑air cinema. The event is funded by the European Social Fund Plus as part of a local development strategy.
Separately, students from the Technical‑Veterinary School in Trzcianka attended a two‑day excursion to the Tatra Mountains in June 2026. The itinerary featured a hike up Gubałowka, visits to Zakopane’s main square, a thermal‑pool stay in Szaflary, an overnight stay in Zięb, and guided walks through the Kościeliska Valley, Ornak shelter and the Kraków Gorge, ending with a visit to the Smocza Jama cave. Organisers highlighted the trip’s role in strengthening community bonds and regional education.
Both outings aim to combine active learning with cultural and natural experiences for Polish students.
