Poland celebrates literacy through nationwide library and community events

Various cultural and educational institutions across Poland are hosting events to promote literacy and celebrate National Reading Day. Activities include escape rooms in school libraries, reading sessions for hospital patients by football players from Widzew Łódź, and community workshops.

In Lower Silesia, police officers have joined literacy initiatives by visiting schools and kindergartens to read to children and discuss safety. Other regional activities include performative reading competitions in Pleszew, author meetings in Warsaw and Kutno, and the upcoming Library Night in Świdnica, which features craft workshops and crime novel discussions.
