Poland observes Peer Violence Prevention Week in schools

Schools across Poland are participating in the Peer Violence Prevention Week, a nationwide initiative organized by the Ministry of National Education. The campaign aims to educate students on the various forms of violence, including physical aggression, social exclusion, and cyberbullying.

Police officers and educators are conducting workshops in cities such as Pruszków, Dubielno, Zamość, and Szczecin. These sessions focus on the legal responsibilities of minors, the consequences of substance abuse, and the importance of recognizing and reporting bullying. Students are being encouraged to seek help from teachers, psychologists, or emergency services rather than remaining passive observers.

The initiative also emphasizes digital safety, addressing the prevalence of hate speech and harassment on social media platforms. Educational materials and support zones, such as school libraries, are being utilized to provide students with resources and a safe environment to discuss these issues.
