Polish Scouting and Guiding Association launches youth leadership and history projects
The Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP) is launching several educational and developmental initiatives for youth. In the Pomeranian region, the Gdańsk Flag of ZHP has introduced the ‘PAW 2.0 – Pomorska Akademia Wsparcia’ project. This program focuses on developing leadership skills among instructors and young leaders, with a specific emphasis on increasing youth participation in organizational decision-making through the establishment of a Youth Council.
The project also includes an ‘Academy of Conscious Communication,’ designed to teach media resilience, critical thinking, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Additionally, ZHP is collaborating with the Senate Chancellery and State Archives on the ‘Young Researcher: Archives of the 1989-1991 Turning Point’ project. Aimed at youth aged 15-19, this initiative encourages participants to document oral histories from witnesses of Poland’s political transition. By interviewing individuals who experienced the shift toward sovereignty and democracy, young participants help preserve historical memories for future generations.
