Polish shoppers increasingly rely on AI for product recommendations across categories
A recent On Board Think Kong (OBTK) survey found that 38% of Polish consumers consider artificial intelligence helpful when shopping for electronics and appliances, with travel (33%) and home‑garden items (30%) also ranking high. Other categories where AI is seen as useful include fashion and beauty (26%), health and pharmacy (24%) and food products (20%). The study notes gender differences: women are more likely to use AI for fashion and entertainment, while men show higher usage for electronics.
Meanwhile, Amazon has introduced a new generative‑AI feature in its Alexa for Shopping service, allowing users in the United States to design custom apparel and accessories by entering simple text prompts. The tool creates visual designs instantly, lets users refine them, and handles production and delivery through Amazon’s Merch on Demand platform, positioning the company as a direct competitor to existing print‑on‑demand services.
