Polish shoppers turn to AI for electronics, travel and home purchases
A recent report by On Board Think Kong shows that 38% of Polish consumers consider artificial intelligence helpful when buying electronics and appliances, 33% for travel and leisure, and 30% for home and garden items. Other categories where AI is seen as useful include fashion and beauty (26%), health and pharmacy (24%), and food products (20%). The study notes gender differences: women are more likely to use AI for fashion and beauty, while men favor electronics and appliances.
In the banking sector, mBank uses AI for anti‑fraud measures and is expanding its use to automate document processing, such as comparing scanned credit documents and stamps, to speed up banking operations without requiring customers to understand the underlying technology. The discussion emphasizes that AI is a tool employed by humans, not a standalone friend or foe, and that its adoption is growing across both consumer and financial services in Poland.
