Polish singers Urszula Sipińska and Urszula Dudziak discuss their careers

Polish singers Urszula Sipińska and Urszula Dudziak reflect on their long-standing musical careers and their differing approaches to retirement.

Urszula Sipińska, who rose to fame following her debut with 'Zapomniałam' at the Opole Festival, chose to leave the music industry in the 1990s to pursue her original passion for interior architecture. Having graduated from the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Poznań, she noted that she never intended to be a singer and wished to avoid 'tormenting people' with her persona indefinitely.

In contrast, 82-year-old Urszula Dudziak shows no intention of retiring. Despite a career spanning 68 years and over 50 albums, she continues to perform, recently playing to an audience at Cadogan Hall in London. Dudziak stated that she will only leave the stage if she feels she can no longer provide energy to her audience or if she experiences burnout, asserting, 'As long as people come to my concerts... I will not leave the stage.'
