Poland: Rapid AI adoption across society and business

Artificial intelligence is seeing rapid diffusion in Poland, with nearly 40% of households and approximately 18% of businesses now utilizing the technology. Projections suggest that over 50% of companies may be using AI by 2031.

In the medical sector, nearly half of Polish citizens support using AI to assist doctors, viewing it as a tool to improve efficiency and streamline administrative tasks. However, experts note that AI cannot resolve systemic issues like medical staff shortages or healthcare funding gaps.

In the financial sector, roughly 60% of Poles are open to AI integration, though concerns remain regarding algorithmic errors, data security, and loss of financial control. Meanwhile, in public administration, while half of municipal officials use AI tools like ChatGPT for daily tasks, only 8% of cities have formal AI strategies in place.

Business leaders emphasize that successful AI implementation requires moving beyond pilot programs by aligning technology with specific business processes and organizational changes rather than treating it solely as an IT project.
