Polish Space Agency monitors potential deorbit of Chinese Zhuque-2E rocket stage

The Polish Space Agency (POLSA) is monitoring the potential deorbit of the second stage of the Chinese Zhuque-2E rocket. The object, which has an estimated mass of approximately 5,000 kg, is expected to re-enter the atmosphere on October 18, 2026.

According to orbital data, the re-entry window is estimated to occur between 05:03 and 15:43 Polish time. While the nominal entry point is currently estimated over the Atlantic Ocean, the object's orbital inclination means its path could pass over Europe, including Poland.

Due to the object's significant mass and a lack of complete data regarding its construction, authorities cannot rule out the possibility that fragments may survive atmospheric entry. The Zhuque-2E rocket, operated by the private Chinese company LandSpace, was launched on October 14 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Inner Mongolia.
