Polish special forces undergo drone warfare training in Germany

Polish special forces are participating in a specialized drone-focused military exercise in Hohenfels, Germany. The training, conducted at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, is designed to simulate modern battlefield challenges, including traversing enemy lines and launching drone strikes on key targets.

Developed by U.S. Army Green Berets, the drill is specifically informed by tactical lessons learned from the conflict in Ukraine. It marks the first time a NATO ally other than the United States has undertaken this particular training program. The exercise requires soldiers to navigate approximately 100 kilometers of diverse terrain while avoiding detection by enemy patrols, cameras, and reconnaissance drones.

The drill highlights an increasing military focus on drone warfare and electronic combat capabilities, aiming to prepare small teams for environments saturated with surveillance technology.
