Polish speedway IMP round in Bydgoszcz sees injuries and youth push
Junior rider Kacper Mania broke his collarbone during the youth eliminator of the Polish Individual Championships in Świętochłowice and will miss Unia Leszno's upcoming PGE Ekstraliga match against Betard Sparta. The club announced, “Kacper Mania suffered a broken collarbone and will not compete,” and named Filip Gano as his replacement for a debut in the top league.
The IMP series returned to Bydgoszcz, where the local Abramczyk Polonia team hopes its young riders can challenge the series favourites. Regulars such as captain Szymon Woźniak, national leader Krzysztof Buczkowski, and emerging talent Wiktor Przyjemski will race on their home track. Maksymilian Pawełczak, recovering from a leg injury, said, “My leg got a sprain, I feel a light pain in the knee, but nothing major,” and confirmed he will compete. Series leader Bartosz Zmarzlik heads the standings with 16 points, followed by Piotr Pawlicki (14) and Buczkowski (9). Radosław Kowalski is sidelined by injury and will be replaced by Bartosz Jaworski.
