Polish Speedway League Matches Marred by Weather, Youth Teams Shine

Senior fixtures in the Krajowa Liga Żużlowej were heavily affected by poor weather. Of three scheduled matches, only the Kraków vs Gniezno meeting went ahead, ending in a 45‑45 draw. Gniezno earned two points – one for the draw and another from a superior two‑match aggregate – moving up to second place in the league table. Matches in Świętochłowice (OK Kolejarz Opole) and the Lokomotiv Daugavpils‑Trans MF Landshut Devils clash were cancelled or postponed with new dates not yet set.

Meanwhile, the Motor Lublin junior squad excelled at the youth championship in Kraków. Riders Bartosz Jaworski, Karol Szmyd and Dawid Grzeszczyk contributed the bulk of the team's 21 points, securing the top spot in the competition. The strong performance comes amid prior criticism of Orlen Oil Motor’s youth training programme, which now appears to be bearing fruit.
