Polish sports clubs report significant medal successes

Various Polish sports clubs have reported significant competitive successes across different disciplines.

In Elbląg, the Silvantu kayaking club celebrated its most successful season to date, securing 38 medals at national and international events. Notable achievements include Igor Komorowski’s silver medal in the youth four at the World Youth Championships and Julia Piasecka’s bronze in the junior mixed 5000m at the Junior World Championships. Despite these results, the club faces financial challenges due to departing sponsors and is seeking closer cooperation with city authorities to ensure stability.

In martial arts, the Elbląski Klub Kyokushin Karate earned eight medals at the MALBORK CUP, winning gold in kumite categories through Nikodem Zyśk, Kacper Szymaniec, and Maksymilian Zyśk. Additionally, the Limanowski Klub Kyokushin Karate secured six medals at the Kyokushin Karate European Union Championship in Schweinfurt, Germany, including two gold medals won by Gabriel Golonka and Antoni Kędroń.
