Polish sports figures announce departures from club and national team
Former Poland international defender Michał Pazdan said he is "disgusted" by the way Wieczysta Kraków ended his contract despite earlier promises of an extension. Pazdan, who played over 80 matches for the club between 2023 and 2026, described the decision as a surprise and expressed frustration at being told the club would not renew any contracts before the new season.
Professor Michał Wilk, a strength‑and‑conditioning specialist, announced on social media that he is leaving the Polish ski‑jumping national team. Wilk thanked the athletes and staff for a season that produced three Olympic medals – a silver and bronze for Kacper Tomasik and a bronze in the team event – and said he is proud of the work accomplished before stepping down.
Both departures were communicated publicly and highlight recent changes within Polish sport organisations.
