Polish sports: Korona Piaski defeat and Arka Gdynia basketball victory

In Polish regional football, Korona Piaski suffered their first defeat of the season against league leaders Orzeł Kawęczyn. The match was decided in the second half by a controversial penalty kick in the 58th minute. Korona coach Dawid Cubal criticized the decision, stating the foul did not impact the play. Additionally, Korona's defensive leader Jędrzej Ludwiczak sustained a knee injury during the first half.

In Polish professional basketball (PLK), Arka Gdynia secured a dominant 95-70 victory over Śląsk Wrocław in their season opener. Arka established control early, leading by 18 points in the first quarter and extending the lead significantly after halftime. Śląsk Wrocław struggled with physical conditioning, tactical cohesion, and late foreign player transfers, resulting in poor offensive efficiency and defensive rotations.
