Polish sports updates: Enea KS Piła begins volleyball training and Watra loses football opener
In Polish sports, the volleyball team Enea KS Piła has become the first in the Tauron 1. Liga Women's division to begin preseason preparations. The team is undergoing an intensive training regimen with sessions twice daily. Due to ongoing renovations at their home hall on Żeromskiego, training is temporarily being held at Primary School No. 6. The preparation phase includes extensive medical testing and is scheduled to include matches against Chemik Police and various tournaments before their first home game on September 26.
In football, Watra Białka Tatrzańska lost their 2026/2027 season opener in the IV league, falling 4-3 to Pcimianka Pcim. Despite leading 3-2 until the 82nd minute, Watra conceded two late goals. Coach Łukasz Kubik noted that the team is currently undergoing a significant rebuild following the departure of 12 players, and expects to finalize the squad with several new signings in the coming week.
