Polish sprinter Tomasz Serafin and ski jumper Kamil Waszek debut at senior elite level

Tomasz Serafin, a 19‑year‑old from UKS Tiki Taka Kolbuszowa, competed in the men's 400 m at the Polish Athletics Championships in Białystok (24‑26 July 2026). He ran sub‑48 seconds but missed the eight‑person final by 0.29 seconds, showcasing strong potential against the national elite.

Kamil Waszek, a 20‑year‑old ski jumper from Goleszów, made his debut in the sport's highest‑rank competition on 1 August after a breakthrough performance at the Memorial Olimpijczyków in Szczyrk, where he posted the day’s longest jump. Previously, he earned a podium finish at the FIS Cup in Villach, Austria, and has recovered from a back injury to compete at full strength.
