Polish State Railways launches third 'Employer Friendly to Women' competition

Polskie Koleje Państwowe S.A. (PKP) inaugurated the third edition of the nationwide "Employer Friendly to Women 2026" competition, targeting companies operating in the railway and broader rail‑transport sector. The contest seeks to recognise firms that actively support women’s career development, promote equal opportunities and implement modern organisational cultures. Submissions are accepted until 31 October 2026.

The initiative coincides with the centenary of PKP and the year designated as the Polish Railway Year by the Sejm. Magdalena Kaczmarska, head of the Recruitment, Training and Development Department at PKP SA and initiator of the competition, said the award aims to spread best practices in human‑capital management and enhance the sector’s image as an attractive, responsible employer. Previous winners have included PKP Intercity, WARS and PKP Szybka Kolej Miejska in the Tricity area.
