Polish students engage in immersive historical education
Students in Poland are engaging in immersive historical education through visits to significant sites and personal testimonies.
Students from Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. P. Wysockiego in Warce visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp, followed by a guided tour of Kraków. The trip aimed to provide a profound understanding of history, totalitarianism, and the importance of memory.
In Lubin, eighth-grade students from Primary School No. 1 participated in a living history lesson by meeting Antonina Buchta. As a survivor of Siberian exile, Buchta shared personal accounts of life during deportation, offering students a firsthand perspective on patriotism and human resilience.
