Polish students explore Austria's Lake Bike region and Vienna on educational trips
A group of Polish students spent several days in Carinthia’s Lake Bike area near Villach, testing bike parks, trails and attractions around the Ossiacher See and Faaker See lakes. The visit included rides on 28 routes at the Faaker See centre and 17 routes at the Ossiacher See centre, long-distance routes such as the Drauradweg, three modern pumptracks, and two children‑focused bike parks. Accommodation was provided at the Terrassencamping site, and the itinerary featured a hike to Landskron Castle with a view of the surrounding lake and mountains.
The same school group also toured Vienna, where they saw the colourful Hundertwasser houses, attended a guided tour by Ms. Asja Janaczek covering Habsburg history, Sisi, and Viennese cafés, and visited the Vienna State Opera. Participants sampled traditional Sachertorte, enjoyed free time for shopping, and ended the day with a table‑tennis tournament.
Both trips were organized as educational excursions, showcasing Austrian natural scenery, cultural heritage and recreational facilities.
