Polish students participate in local waste segregation awareness competitions
Students in the Polish municipalities of Łaziska Górne and Ruda Śląska are participating in local initiatives to promote environmental awareness and proper waste segregation.
In Łaziska Górne, students from grades IV–VIII are invited to participate in the ‘Waste Segregation Makes Sense’ competition. Participants can submit traditional or digital graphic designs aimed at promoting recycling and environmental protection. The winning design will be applied to the side of a garbage truck, and the author will receive a gift voucher.
In Ruda Śląska, a competition for students and youth has concluded, focusing on creating slogans to promote the local Selective Waste Collection Point (PSZOK) and its used goods exchange point. The first-place winner, Antoni Kulpok, received a bicycle for the slogan ‘Less waste, more order, segregation rocks’. The winning slogan will be featured on official city posters in libraries, schools, and housing cooperatives.
